By now you may've heard the news from Netflix, on how they're spinning off the DVD service to a new company, separate from your Netflix Streaming movies.
I do not think this is a good idea. I have literally over a hundred movies that I wanted to keep in my streaming queue because I enjoyed them, and they were removed. I was able to move them to my DVD list, where I have hundreds of movies I am interested in watching, but are not available for streaming.
The ones that were removed from streaming are great movies, classics, and were a valuable addition to Netflix's library. Most of them were not the Starz movies that expired after a time. If Netflix does not Very rapidly bring back those movies to streaming, they will start to see their business dropping off.
People are always looking for ways to their lives simpler, splitting your company, decreasing the movies you offer, billing people separately, is a good way to make them switch to other services, such as Hulu or Blockbuster.
Netflix, I have to say I am really not impressed with the direction you appear to be moving. Yes, I appreciate your acknowledgement that you have not been helpful in you prior communication. However, do you want to have a company in a few years? If you want to increase you price, you need to improve what you offer.
In these days when ISP companies are starting to throttle and put bandwidth caps - where people will not be able to enjoy your service - a good response for you would be to seriously beef up what you offer, not remove large quantities of movies from your DVD and streaming offerings...
That's my two cents worth, anyway.
Signed,
Disappointed Netflix customer

Days
Well, it is Friday, but working as a temp, yesterday was my last day of the week. However, I am looking for other temp work that would not interfere with where I am already working. This leads to a bit of confusion some days.
So what do I think? My watch tells me it is Friday, so that's what I use…

PC?
Ok, World, mini-rant...
Please, please, please, please, stop using computer A "vs PC"! It's not true, accurate, or fair.
PC is Personal Computer.
Any Laptop, Desktop, Tablet, running any variant of Linux, Windows, Mac operating system that you could / do / can buy & use, is a PC.
If I hear someone uses 'vs PC', I hope, for sanity's sake, that that statement in reference to a Mainframe or other Supercomputer; I'll grant some leniency if it is in reference to a Server, or a PDA.
